Oman Is An Architect Of Peace In The Middle East

The Diplomatic World newspaper shed light on Oman's multifaceted identity, underscoring its foreign policy, economic vision, and cultural treasures through interviews with prominent Omani officials.

MUSCAT : Led by Barbara Dietrich, CEO of Diplomatic World, the report offered a detailed analysis of Oman's approach to fostering peace and harmony in the Middle East.
Dietrich, following her visit to Oman, expressed deep admiration for the country's model of peaceful coexistence, describing it as a "discreet architect of peace." Oman's mediation diplomacy was particularly praised for its emphasis on balancing interests, promoting tolerance, and actively seeking mutual benefits in international relations.
The report featured exclusive interviews with high-ranking government officials, including His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, H.E. Ibtisam Ahmed Said Al Farooji, Undersecretary of Investment Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, H.E. Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, and H.E. Ambassador Pascal Gregor, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Sultanate of Oman.


The Minister of Foreign Affairs underscored Oman's commitment to transparency, mutual trust, and constructive neutrality in its foreign policy endeavors. He emphasized Oman's steadfast refusal to interfere in the internal affairs of other nations, while also encouraging open dialogue to resolve conflicts.
"Omani foreign policy highly values the principles of mutual trust, transparency and maintaining credibility at all times, and does not adopt a hidden agenda or practice tricks," explained the Minister of Foreign Affairs.


Furthermore, the report highlighted Oman's diplomatic efforts in facilitating dialogue between regional powers, such as Saudi Arabia and Iran, as well as its humanitarian endeavors in Yemen and Syria. Oman's stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was also addressed, with a call for justice and a cessation of violence.

Beyond diplomacy, the report explored Oman's ambitious national strategy for tourism, emphasizing its unique cultural heritage and natural landscapes. Efforts to develop the tourism sector were discussed in detail, alongside initiatives aimed at preserving Oman's rich cultural values.


In addition, the report showcased Oman's robust economy and its attractiveness to foreign investors. Promising investment opportunities were highlighted, underpinned by Oman's strategic location, political stability, and favorable business environment.
